The main objectives of International EB Awareness Week, and the Walk a Mile in My Shoes campaign, are to boost awareness among policy-makers and society at large about EB and its intrinsic impact on the lives of patients and patient families. The week is October 25-31, 2009.

"Walk a Mile in My Shoes" campaign © 2010 is the principal endeavor in recognition of "International Epidermolysis Bullosa Awareness Week." Founded in 2007, WAM is an organized alliance of affirmed nonprofit organizations dedicated to three objectives: boosting universal awareness about Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB); raising funds to effect the most promising research and family support programs; and advocating for all who are touched by this disease.
